Impromptu Lunch at Cherry’s

We had intended to meet at La Locanda di Pio for lunch today but when we arrived it was closed so Cherry invited us all up to her house for an impromptu lunch. It was such a beautiful day here in Ponte a Serraglio, about 27 deg, which made the alfresco area at Cherry’s the perfect place to enjoy our lunch. The fabulous tuna salad was rustled up in no time by Debra and Cherry and the wine very good as always.

I’m sure you will all be wanting to live in Italy after you see the photos.

Paul and Jim took the photos of the girls! Karen, Kerry, Debra & Cherry.

And we couldn’t forget Aldo.

The views are amazing.

And her garden is bursting with colour and produce, some of which was picked and used in the salad.

Thanks Cherry, it was such a lovely afternoon.

  1. What lovely surroundings, no wonder you are all looking so relaxed – even the dog!
You are certainly enjoying some great weather, if not a little too warm, but makes for wonderful alfresco dinning.

    Love Julie T.

    • The weather at the moment is very nice. Wish it would stay like this for the rest of the holiday.

  2. What a fabulous place! I’m almost envious. We left Cairns after 2 weeks and a new Holden Colorado (blue) and we arrived in Townsville today. We’re here till the V8s start on 5th July. Lots to see and do ,.. and lots of “thinking” going on as well. Keep enjoying. Best wishes, Debbie & Kevin xox

    • What’s with the thinking? I expect the Colorado has more room & power so it will be good towing the van. Have fun at the V8s – I will miss not going to Wanneroo this year.

  3. Sydney, 10 degrees, raining and very unpleasant and then we read this!
Keep up good work of making us all jealous. Talk about envious.
Although we’re very pleased that you are enjoying yourselves so much.
Also on the positive side we back in the homeland at least can be assured
    of a good Aussie Shiraz!
    Love Heather and Tony

    • I know how good the Aussie Shiraz’s are, and I do miss them, but the Italian reds are good. If I have room to bring some home I will share a bottle with you when we catch up.
